A wickedly funny satire and a-coming-of-age story of thirteen year-old Billy- as he attempts to wake his mother from a coma with the help of a magical, beer-swilling capybara and a homeschooled evangelist! Zolidis has his finger on the contradictions, fears and dreams of teens as he skewers many of society’s mores.

A dark, trenchant, very funny comedy about family life in the new age of corporate America. Mom’s a management consultant who can’t manage, Dad’s having an affair and their worried Daughter has creative hallucinations. This comedy invites us to laugh at despair even as we recognize the shards of truth running through it.

HOLIDAY FESTIVAL

The Victory Theatre Center continues its commitment to building communities through the power of theatre. Burbank school system students (grades 4-12) are challenged to write short plays or monologues based on the theme “The Holidays.” The contest culminates in six plays to be directed by professional actors and directors for a three-night run at the Victory Theatre Center.
